Château La Confession Saint-Emillion Grand Cru 2020

Château resulting from the union of Chateaux Barreau and Haut-Pontet, Château La Confession is located in a beautiful clay-limestone terroir, close to the 1er Cru Classé Clos Fourtet. Owner Jean-Philippe Janoueix entrusted the vinifications to Jean-Philippe Fort, collaborator of the renowned Michel Rolland. The vineyard has 70% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc, the rest being Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aged in 100% new barrels, La Confession wines have very present tannins, ensuring good aging potential. They present tasty woody aromas of cinnamon and licorice that mix with red and black fruits.
